Job Title: Pricing Analyst – Jumia
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Type: Fixed Term
Department: Commercial Planning & Performance

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring pricing competitiveness across all e-commerce platforms and offline market.
  • Evaluating consumer trends, industry conditions and visits offline stores to have a scope of opportunities.
  • Identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels.
  • Understanding the impact of pricing on profit margins.
  • In collaboration with the team, draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing plans.
  • Create reports reflecting metrics and project status, objectives and issues.
  • Effectively communicate findings to the team lead.
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to define pricing structure for Jumia.
  • Research for new product or service ideas.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Accounting, Finance or any related analytical discipline.
  • At least 1 year experience in similar role.
  • Analytical, evaluative and data-driven mindset.
  • Market awareness and negotiating skills.
  • Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools (Excel pivot tables, SQL queries, graphing, PowerPoint).
  • In-depth knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Cognos, Business Objects or SPSS) and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Job Title: Internal Control Manager – Jumia
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Type: Fixed Term
Department: Finance – Controlling

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for reviewing, directing audits and ongoing reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations, assess the adequacy and extent of programs designed to safeguard organization assets

In particular you will:

  • Work with the business to develop new and/or review existing business and operational policies/processes.
  • Develop anti money laundering & anti bribery policies & trainings.
  • Develop the internal control environment
  • Develop and maintain risk enterprise register for the company.
  • Run a compliance check program quarterly or bi annually on all functions working with the functional heads of department.
  • Work with the business to develop new and/or review existing business and operational policies/processes.
  • Presentations to senior management & board on risk & compliance profile for the organization.
  • Work with the necessary functions to limit, mitigate Financial, business, regulatory, legal & reputational risk to the business.
  • Develop Business continuity plans for the organisation

Professional Skills & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment in a public accounting or internal audit, payment or settlement environment.
  • Membership in an internationally recognized professional accounting body e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CRISC.
  • Experience running for quality & compliance certificates like PCIDSS, SON, ISO etc
  • Must have advanced level Excel skills.
  • Strong and demonstrated experience in handling technical accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Conceptual, analytical and financial modeling skill
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft office suites software (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)
